Mr. Gonzo Bunny-Ears has excellent house manners, but in the first few days with us, he revealed to us his strong preference for sitting in chairs — it seems that in his old home, he may have had a little perch in a living room chair. Over his first week in our home he tested out the options here, and we had to have a talking to about dog beds being for dogs and chairs being for humans.
He eventually understood the new rules, but in the interim, we found him in various chairs around the house, looking very cute and very defiant.
But he’s the perfect size for those chairs!
I love the picture where he is looking away. ‘If I can’t see you, you can’t see me!’ ha!
Then he turns on the charm. That’s one smart pittie!
So many chairs, so little time!
These adorable pictures really highlight the absurd cuteness of his ears!
i know, it really is totally absurd. i don’t know how he was allocated such a disproportionately large share of the cute in this world.
I’ve been out of the loop and not checking up, but I love how regal he looks just sitting up in the chairs. I wonder if he used to join his family for dinner?
But, he looks so comfy in those chairs! How can you deny him those opportunities! 🙂
You just have to give him a new title — Chair of the Board!
He is adorable. I just love those bunny ears! I’m come back from vacation to read up about this adorable little guy!
Sooooooooooo cute!!
As a dog parent I always assumed those chairs were for them. We can sit in the and not them? Interesting.
Good on you for staying strong and sticking to the rules. Shiva never used to be allowed on the furniture either. I don’t know how that changed, but all of a sudden, she jumps up whenever she feels like it and it’s okay. Huh.
Gonzo just gets cuter and cuter with every post. Have you had any luck treating his anxiety? That’s a tough one and one of the few things I am not looking forward to when we get a second dog. It just sucks all around.
Our Best Friend still sneaks on the couch in the middle of night when he thinks we won’t catch him. Good luck with this habit!
Gonzo really is all ears!
He reminds me of Goldilocks.
“This chair is too soft; this chair is too hard; Ahhh, this chair is just right… what? I’m not allowed on the chairs???
Note to self – Forever family must let me on the furniture”
I wanted to let you know I guess I can wait to read more about the adorable Chick. Also, Gonzo is so adorable I can’t stand it! Are you guys considering becoming a two dog family, or just stick with the fostering?
just fostering for now . . . unless chick falls in love with a dog we foster (which is doubtful, since he tolerates most dogs but loves very few), we will not be adopting any of our project pups!
Morgan has one bed upstairs and one bed downstairs, so he always has a comfy doggy place to lay his face. Morgan really likes to be snuggled down in something that kind of comes up around him. We learned this by finding him in the laundry hamper several times. Seriously. We found him in laundry hampers. And he would look up at us, like ‘What? This is working for me.’
