Gonzo Bunny-Ears has really taken a liking to Chick’s sleeping bag that I made him a few winters ago. He loves burrowing inside for naps when he has grown sleepy. Occasionally he manages to get in on his own, but usually he needs a little help opening the bag up first. Or else we end up with a situation in which Gonzo is fast asleep, but only semi-in the sleeping bag. Like this:

Oh. my. word!
So cute! Those photos just made my morning!
How has he not be adopted yet?!?!?!?!?
I have a 100 pound snuggler at home. I’m thinking now that I should make him a sleeping bag. Your pictures are wonderful, and if I didn’t live in Illinois I would be first in line for Mr. Bunny-Ears. He is a beautiful boy, and it looks like he has won Chick’s approval. Very impressive!
Any chance you could post your directions on how to make that sleeping bag?
I’m not very crafty, but I’m willing to give it a try – my pup would love it!
hey! i am extremely non-crafty when it comes to sewing. this sleeping bag is actually very easy, but you would need to borrow a “heavy duty” sewing machine, or the patience to do it by hand. i will take measurements tonight or tomorrow and see if i can write something up for you.
Poor Chick got outsted from his own sleeping bag. Come on Gonzo, scoot over a bit! 🙂
I may be wrong, but it appears that ole’ Chick is starting to like little Gonzo! He seems to like to snuggle with the little man. I think my Mya girl would love that sleeping bag. She definitely burrows under the covers, so I am interested in how you made it. Like Emily above, I am really shocked he hasn’t been adopted yet. My fiance has fallen for his big ears. Do you have any prospects yet?
Yeah, Chick and Gonzo are friends now. Chick doesn’t take to everybody, so it has been a real treat having them turn out to be so compatible. In a way, it will be sad to see the little Mr. go because of that!
We have had a lot of prospects, but no perfect matches yet. I am thinking of posting later this week about what rescue people look for in an application.
Thanks for the note!
If I show the man of the house one more pic of little big ears, you may be getting an application from us! LOL! I swear if I didn’t have the most expensive cheap dog on the planet I would have another one! Special food, allergies, luxating patella, and not so pleasant anal gland issues have been quite interesting to the wallet.
I would love to see a post about what rescues look for in apps. I think a lot of people would benefit from reading something on that topic.
BOL, you need a Snuggie
Benny & Lily
Petey is a big time snuggler. Every night, now matter how deep a sleep he is in, when I get in bed and turn off the light, he nudges the covers to go under 🙂
were dying – gonzo is too cute.
that first pick is priceless.. I think Luna’s attempt would be similar.. or she would just be cureld up on top of it. She stirs her blankets but if you are nearby she will look at you to help her. Funny how some dogs are good at figuring out how to get under themselves while others are not.. I think some just have their humans trained too well. 😉
Maybe this christmas I will try something similar. I should first get to the beds I had planned to make 3 months ago.
Glad you like the Luna pictures

That last picture just made me sigh.
You are one of many talents. That sleeping bag is awesome. You seriously made it all by yourself?
Oh. my. goodness. I cannot wrap my head around how adorable he is! Just when I think, “Okay, that was it. He can’t be cuter.” he get exponentially cuter. I don’t know how he does it!
OMG! That last picture is so cute! They’re all cute really, Mr Ear’s snug as a bug in a rug. CUTE!
Awww…Gonzo, you looks so comfy. Brudder Ranger likes to gets under blankies and stuff, too. Maybe I could make him one of those sleeping bags for Christmas or something! Could you ask your mom if fingers are absolutely necessary for sewing?
Wiggles & Wags,

Morgan is totally impressed. He says there is no way he could figure that out.
We love him anyway.
Those are the cutest pics ever!! Chick & Gonzo are so damn sweet!! I, too, would love to know what rescues look for in an application. I have so much admiration for you – giving Gonzo a loving foster home and looking for the perfect forever home for him. If I fostered, I’d never be able to let them go. I’d have a houseful of pups. Aleksandra – with all the interest in the sleeping bag, you should patent that idea, go into business and use some of these photos as your selling tool – you’d make a fortune!!
You made that sleeping bag?! You are a woman of many talents. I adore your photos. I’m so impressed with the rich colors, and your models couldn’t be cuter! Love them!
I would post that sleeping bag on Etsy and start a home business! (All proceeds to animal rescue, of course 🙂 )
