You know how some people are into extreme sports? Like extreme waterpolo or extreme hot air ballooning? And some college kids are into extreme drinking, and some toddlers are into extreme hissy-fitting?
Well the Dude and I, we are majorly into our own extreme sport: XTreme Napping. Here’s what it looks like.
Pretty intense, right?
In case anybuddy else is interested in trying this XTREME sport, here is a breakdown of how it works. Its anatomy, if you will. And one helpful hint: this sport is best performed with a willing brother. Do not go it alone!

we have a rescued pit, & happened to live in Philly around the whole Michael Vick issue…had to listen to his girlfriend on the news whine about how his punishment was unfair blah blah……he made lots of folks angry !

So my question is, do they get ‘nap’ face? When Quizz wakes up suddenly, everything is slight smooshed. A quick shake will fix it and he’s back to normal.

Oh my goodness, they are so cute.
My dogs are not so good at Xtreme Napping but they are champions at Xtreme Sleeping (maybe that’s why they don’t nap.) Sometimes my boy ends up under my bed. I have no clue how he wiggles his way under there whilst sleeping. My female, she can take up the whole queen bed!

Extreme napping is popular here especially now that it is winter. Those boys are such handsome fellows and they were so obviously meant to be together 🙂

OMG, now that you suggest it, I realize that I’d watch, too! For hours.
So cute! How long did it take for them to get so snuggly with each other? I adopted Tater a few weeks ago, and there’s a little bit of occasional light snuggliness between him and my older boy Don, but nothing as XXTREME as Chickerdoodle.

Hah, I am so totally an extreme napper. Sadly my studies do not appreciate it.
No doubt you will get many comments via Freshly Pressed, but I just wanted to thank you for the great work you’re doing by fostering rescue dogs. I’ve done some fostering for several rescue groups and it is such a rewarding experience. Pit bulls do often get overlooked, so you’re performing an even more valuable service. Thanks for the excellent photos, but mostly for helping these great dogs.

JUST SO ADORABLE!!!!!! The favourite shot is the TWO FEET TOUCHING … I could FEEL the love between them! My dog is an extreme napper too! I can’t understand how they can sleep ALL day, and stay so tired? Hahaha

My dog is so extreme when it comes to napping–in the summer, to escape the heat he figured out where the AC vents were on the floor in our family room and plops right on them to hog the cool air. A real trailblazer with his napping spots! 😀 That and the weird position of sleeping on his back with all four paws sticking in the air… never did figure out how what was comfortable!

Such great pictures, and I automatically love anyone who helps animals. Thanks for what you’re doing. For the last 6 years, I’ve been taking care of a rescued pup for about 10 days a month, enough so that she’s almost half my dog, too. She’s snoring nearby as I write this. I miss her so much when she goes home, so try to make something of every minute I’ve got with her, even if it’s just being in the same room doing our own things.

I have a pitty mix from the street. It is so sad how many strays there are running around the streets of most major cities…and in rural areas. God, they are just everywhere! I picked up at least a dozen or more myself. Thanks for doing your part! Congrat’s on being FP’d.
