it ain’t easy when it’s green

Gonzo wants everyone to know: just because the leaves are out in full force and it’s the dead-middle of springtime, there is plenty of work for a bunny-eared dog out in the yard and on the deck. Watch out, errant still-falling winter twigs and sticks from those enormous oaks out back. Gonzo is gonna get you . . .

  1. lol cute photos! And I agree with Kate, doubt sticks stand a chance. I will have to take a picture of the Pit we just got in for training… Zeus, a chocolate male. It may be a while as I think he is going to be a big challenge, 70 lbs of PURE MUSCLE…. But I like a good challenge, even if he is over half my body weight. If I can do it, nobody else has any excuses right?

Anyway, stick chewing/eating is a peeve of mine… we go through phases of it around here. It would be one thing if they just chewed them up, but mine eat them too, and sometimes throw them up. So I don’t even get mulch out of it. Lil stinkers
    Anyway have a fantastic weekend!

  2. My Mya and Gonzo should start their own landscaping business to rid all yards from sticks! They could make quite a profit! I love his teeth in this shot!

  3. What is it about sticks that make doggers go wild? One of Gus’s favorite outdoor activities is to plop down on his belly in the yard, chewing on a stick. Ahhh…life’s simple pleasures. 🙂

Happy Friday and weekend to you and your family!

  4. Very frightening. I know I wouldn’t want to be a stick with a Gonzo around!

The leaves may be out in full force there but they are only just barely budding here. We still have a long way to go before it really feels like spring.

  5. I’m so glad to see that stick chewing isn’t such a weird thing after all and I don’t have to panic every time Wilbur feels the need to ‘imbibe’! I just love reading your blog and I’m sure Gonzo Bunny Ears is going to find a home that’s perfect for him. What a sweetie!
