In case it hasn’t been totally clear from reading our blog over the past few weeks, Gonzo absolutely adores his big brother. He follows Chick around everywhere and is always trying to play with him and snuggle on him. He hits Chick over the head with toys trying to entice him to play chase, and regularly sits down directly on top of a sleeping Chick as though it were the only seat in the house, even when it’s super hot and snuggling makes no sense. Lately, he has taken to imitation as his favorite way to flatter his big foster brother. Sometimes we come into a room to find them sleeping in the exact same pose, like this.
The way in which little Mr. Ears has bonded with Chick has made us pretty sure that whoever adopts him will have to have another dog to keep him company, or at least a few kids in the 6+ age range. He really thrives off company more than your average dog.

Too cute. I don’t know how you all can resist keeping him yourself, sounds like everyone has gotten attached. And seeing such a nice canine match would make it harder.
Happy Wednesday

Could anything be more adorable than them?
Chick should be honored to have such an adoring little foster brother! Our dogs tend to mirror each other since they refuse to be on the same couch!
I love how dogs are motivated by such completely different things. Gonzo really does seem to adore the company of another dog – it’s so sweet. Whereas some dogs couldn’t care less.
Dogs are endlessly fascinating. Thanks for sharing this adorable photo!
Love this pic!!!
What sweet sweet boys you have! They are just precious.
Awwww…that is SO sweet! I wish Brudder Ranger would lets me cuddle up to him like that. I know, I know. The picture on my bloggie today makes it LOOK like he likes to cuddle but that almost never happens. And when it does, it’s cuz HE wants to cuddle. I can never, ever just walk up to him and start cuddling. Sigh.
Maybe Gonzo should come live here and we could cuddle together.
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
Nice moves, Gonzo.
How is Chick doing with all that little brother attention?
He’s doing fine! He doesn’t thrive off the companionship quite as much as Junior does, but he certainly doesn’t mind having the little guy around, either. I have always thought he seemed calmer and more distinguished when there is another dog in the house– maybe it’s just by comparison, though 🙂
I love how Gonzo has become his mini-me. Which is even funnier because they have similar coloring, and Gonzo really is mini.
It’s true– when we go out in public with them together, people often think that Gonzo is Chick’s baby!
So cute! I still cant believe he hasnt found a perfect home yet! Id scoop him up in a second if we were in the area!
They look so content together. They’re even smiling. I truly hope Gonzo finds a home with all of his favorite things.
OMG – these pictures get cuter by the day!! Chick & Gonzo are precious!
